We’re inviting fish farmers, suppliers, researchers, Indigenous partners and government collaborators from across the country to connect in the beautiful Muskokas for the Canadian Freshwater Aquaculture Conference.
Together, we’ll discover the latest advancements in freshwater aquaculture, showcase innovations, explore different species and strengthen the networks that drive our industry forward.

A conference by farmers, for farmers
Ontario’s had a strong community of fish farmers for more than 40 years, and our annual conference has always been the cornerstone of that community. Now we’re expanding and inviting you to be a part of it.
In recent years, and somewhat unintentionally, our conference has grown into a national meeting spot for freshwater farmers from across Canada, especially small and mid-sized operations growing trout, steelhead, Arctic char, coho salmon and other alternative species, or growing in land-based or atypical farming systems.
This year, we’re casting the net wider. The Canadian Freshwater Aquaculture Conference is a bigger version of our annual event, bringing farmers, suppliers, and partners together to trade ideas, talk gear and technology, and learn straight from each other. It’s organized by farmers, for farmers.
