Recap of the 2023 Ontario Aquaculture Association conference

The Ontario Aquaculture Association welcomed over 175 fish farmers, suppliers, researchers and government officials for our first conference in four years. The two-day event at Fern Resort in Orillia included 32 presentations on a wide range of issues, along with plenty of fish tasting, social events and a new annual fish-wear competition. The conference also gave our community the chance to honour the memory of Big John Woodhouse and celebrate the (semi)retirement of Rich Moccia.

Greetings from the Hon. Graydon Smith, Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry

Most of the conference presentations are saved in a Google Drive. If there is a particular presentation you were looking for an it isn’t here, email hello@ontarioseafoodfarmers.ca as some presenters are happy to share but didn’t want their presentations posted publicly.
